Magnum, 1.5 litre bottle. An exceptional expression of this iconic Bordeaux-style blend. Deep garnet and ruby red colour, with a bouquet of rich spices. Full bodied with soft tannins. Flavours of dark fruit, a touch of smoke and some earthy notes. Meerlust Rubicon is easily comparable to the blends of Bordeaux and should continue to develop well for 15-20 years in ideal cellar conditions. Meerlust Rubicon is one of the Cape's most iconic wines, each vintage is a unique expression of the year it was produced. The wine is always released at four years of age when it will fully display the character of the estate, but additional maturation is recommended to allow the full complexity of Rubicon to be revealed.
